This is our basic report for limited companies and is most useful when you are seeking assurances of the history of a business (e.g. basic financial information, length of time incorporated) or researching the holding structure of a company. The report does not contain detailed risk information. Content includes:
  • Statutory information – registered name and address, date of incorporation, type of accounts filed and filing dates etc
  • Outstanding county court judgments
  • Holding structure of the company
  • Accounts information for three years including turnover, net worth, pre-tax profit and working capital (note: for small and medium sized companies not all this information may available).
  • Company secretary’s name
  • Last five filings at Companies House or from the London and Edinburgh Gazettes

Credit Report

Key Features: Credit Risk Score & Credit Limit

This report is most useful when you require basic assurances of the financial strength of a customer or supplier. We recommend you use this report for all new customers and suppliers and periodically for all your active accounts.

Helpful notes to the credit rating within the report indicate approximately what percentage of companies attain the same rating. As well as the credit rating the report includes a summary of the last two years’ filed accounts. This gives you an indication of the profitability and financial growth of the business. Content includes:

  • Risk Score for the last two years
  • County court judgments
  • Winding up petitions and all other insolvency filings
  • New mortgages and charges
  • Summary financial accounts for two years*
  • Severe audit qualifications
  • Availability of latest set of accounts
  • Changes in share capital
  • Change of name, registered office

This report provides detailed risk assessment information. The report includes financial comparisons with other companies in the same industry sector; three year's summary accounts and the two year growth rate.

We recommend you use this report to assess your KEY customers and suppliers. Content includes:

The Full Financial Report provides in depth financial analysis. We recommend a thorough review of a company’s financial report before engaging in important contracts. It is of most use to users with an accountancy or other financial background. Valuable risk assessment information includes:

Comprehensive Report

Key Features: In depth information

The Comprehensive Credit Report is our most in depth report. It has the same sections as in the Full Financial Report, with the following further sections :-

  • Director names, addresses, appointment dates, dates of birth, occupations, number of present and resigned directorships.
  • Major Shareholders - displays the principal shareholder in any UK company. It also shows the capital structure of the company in terms of the type and amount of shares issued in total.
  • Mortgages & Charges - provides access to the latest five charges filed by a company (where available).
  • Interims - provides access to the latest four years' worth (where available) of interim results as announced by UK quoted companies on the London Stock Exchange.
  • The Comprehensive for Southern Irish companies will include the additional mortgage details: Charge number, Charge registered date, Property acquired date, Currency, Charge status , Charge party name and address, Charge type description, Charge created date, Amount secured, Amount secured description, Charge relation type, Property, Satisfaction number, type, date and description, Property released.

This is the more popular of our non-limited business reports as it provides basic risk assessment data. We recommend you use the Non-Limited Credit Report for all your new customers and suppliers and periodically for all significant accounts.

In addition to the information provided in the Insight Report the Insight Plus Report also gives:

  • A risk score (indicating the likelihood of a business defaulting on payment)

WHEN should I purchase a credit report ?
You should consider, as a minimum, purchasing the appropriate credit report whenever: 
  • A new trading relationship or account is set up
  • A customer defaults on payment or requests a significantly higher credit limit (for whatever reason)
  • You enter into a major new contract
  • A periodic review of a key customer or supplier is due
  • A significant credit event occurs (such as a change in the credit score, credit limit, issuing of a county court judgment, resignation of a director, etc). Note: our Free Monitoring Service can notify you by email when significant credit event occur.

HOW do I buy a credit report ?
All our reports can be purchased using the Business Search facility on the left hand side of most pages. Enter the business name and click on the search button. If you require a more advanced search (e.g. you want to find a company from its registered number), click the Advanced Search link. The Individual Directors Report is accessible through the Director Search link.

A list of businesses and addresses matching your search will be displayed. Simply click on your chosen business and the next page will contain a list of the available reports (not all reports are available for all businesses).You will need your credit card (or have previously arranged a Trade Account) to purchase a report.

Purchased reports are immediately displayed online from where they can be printed, saved or forwarded to an e-mail account. (Registered users automatically receive e-mailed copies of reports).
